Bank Support Worker - Community Support Worker


Hours available over a flexible 7-day period

8.97 per hour, rising to 9.12 after one year service (If you meet the experience criteria, your starting rate will be 9.12) 

The base will be flexible across the county with a mileage allowance of 45p per mile 

Potential hours available across other departments

Do you want to support people with mental health issues at a pace that is right for them?


The Community Support Team provides flexible, recovery focused support for people with mental health problems living in with community. We aim to provide people with a support package that enables them to feel safe and supported, so that they can move forward, set new goals, learn new skills and do things to enable them to live a fuller, more satisfying and independent life.  

You will be working closely with service users, using a person-centered approach, to ensure individuals are always treated with dignity and respect. We are looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of service users, as directed by their individual support plans. You will promote the service user’s self-esteem and enable them to express their preferences and make choices and decisionsso as to maximise their self-care and independent living skills. We are looking for someone who can proactively encourage clients to identify their interests and support them in accessing social, leisure, education and work activities. Overall, you will assist in monitoring service user's mental health and general well-being.    

We are open to applications from effective communicators, who can maintain a caring and responsive approach whilst delivering high standards of customer care.

  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
