If you find yourself in crisis or need urgent support with your mental health, the Safe Haven is a safe and friendly place that you can come and access mental health support and advice.
The Safe Haven Team are warm and welcoming and will provide empathy, support and safety to anyone experiencing high emotional distress and/or suicidal thoughts. They will offer you a safe space, a respectful listening ear and an exploration of coping strategies. As well as offering support, they will be able to refer and direct you to further services if you need them.
The Safe Haven is open to anyone over the age of 18.
The Safe Haven is held at Heffernan House, our community hub in Hereford. Our full address is 130-132 Widemarsh Street, Hereford, HR4 9HN.
The Safe Haven phone line is 01432 372407 and is open from 5pm on days where the service is running (usually Sunday, Monday and Tuesday - see below for further details).
If you call ahead, we can arrange to support you when you arrive at Safe Haven. You can also drop in while the Safe Haven is open, although if we are busy, there may be a little delay before we can see you. You can also email the team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Safe Haven will be open 3 evenings a week, from 6pm to 10:30pm (with last admission at 10pm) We are doing a gradual opening, so here are our opening dates for the first few weeks:
