Herefordshire Board Gamers support Herefordshire Mind

We're delighted to announce that we have been chosen by Herefordshire Board Gamers as their Charity of the Year. They raised an astounding 526.51 for us during their Charity Game Day in May, and are now about to celebrate their first birthday.

Adam from Herefordshire Board Gamers said:

"Herefordshire Mind is a great fit for us, as we passionately believe that gaming is good for your mental health! We pride ourselves on creating a warm, friendly and non- judgmental atmosphere. A few of our regulars have been very open about their own personal struggles with mental health and you can check out some of their stories on our blog.
"We have always found gaming to be a really positive and inclusive hobby. It’s a great way to meet new people and make friends without awkward small talk, but some of our members love a good natter as well."

If you'd like to join the Herefordshire Board Gamers to celebrate, they will be at The Imperial, Hereford, from 6:30pm on Thursday 6th July. Everyone is welcome to come and play some games, or just hang out and have a drink. We're hearing rumours that there may even be cake...

You don’t have to be an experienced board gamer to join in. Absolute beginners are welcome and there will be games teachers on hand to help you. The Board Gamers have a wide range of games at all levels of complexity and every theme you can think of (and some you probably wouldn’t)!

Check out the Board Gamers website for lots more information on gaming, including guides on beginners games and great games to play in pubs and cafes. You can also find out more about their birthday bash on the Facebook event page.

We welcome conversations with other local organisations and businesses to find ways to help each other and the local community. If you or your organisation would like to help Herefordshire Mind make sure that no one in the county has to face a mental health problem alone, you can get involved or support us by making a donation.
