Ambassadors

Find out how you can become a Herefordshire Mind Ambassador.

Herefordshire Mind Ambassadors

We’re looking for passionate individuals in businesses and organisations to become Herefordshire Mind Ambassadors. As an ambassador, you’ll help promote mental wellbeing in your workplace while championing the work that we do to support people in need.

This scheme is open to anyone who is employed or volunteers.

What’s Involved?

  • Share our campaigns, resources and events within your team
  • Encourage conversations around mental health in your workplace
  • Help reduce stigma and create a supportive environment
  • Look to make changes in your workplace to be more mental health friendly
  • Learn ways to make your workplace more inclusive
  • Be a point of contact between your organisation and Herefordshire Mind
  • Share mental health booklets & resources with your colleagues
  • Signpost others to support services when needed
  • Hold 1 fundraising or awareness event  within 6 months of joining – big or small!

What’s in it for you?

  • Make a meaningful impact in your workplace and beyond
  • Access our resources and updates
  • Be recognised as a mental health advocate in your organisation
  • Connect with like-minded individuals across sectors
  • Boost your personal and professional development
  • Regular Ambassador updates from us and fellow Ambassadors
  • A ‘Herefordshire Mind Ambassador’ button badge
  • An annual Herefordshire Mind Ambassador networking event
  • A ‘Herefordshire Mind Ambassador’ logo for your email signature
  • A FREE 3 hour Mental Health Awareness Training session
  • You can call our Safe Haven team any evening for advice if you are worried about a member of staff or client.

This scheme, including all the training and resources, are entirely free. All that we ask in return, is that you hold a fundraising event within 6 months for Herefordshire Mind. This ensures that we can continue the project for free and helps to fund future cohorts of Ambassadors. We want Ambassadors advocating for mental health awareness and ending stigma, in as many places as possible in our county.

Please note, Herefordshire Mind Ambassadors are not trained mental health professionals, nor authorised to act on behalf of Herefordshire Mind. They are mental health advocates and have received training and tools to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Their role is to signpost people in distress to statutory or voluntary trained services for support.
