We're delighted to be working with Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum to help deliver two projects: Buzz about Queenswood and the Queenswood Wellbeing Garden.
Buzz About Queenswood is a year-long project which aims to protect and preserve our native pollinators. As well as practical habitat improvement work, the project will also create a programme of fun events, activities and specialist training to inspire and educate the public.
The Queenswood Wellbeing Garden will be designed to be accessible and engaging for all and will showcase sustainable food production, wildlife friendly gardening and therapeutic horticulture practice. There will be a sensory area which will allow people to experience the garden though touch and smell and raised and standing beds for those who find working at ground level challenging.
Both projects are open to anyone over the age of 18 who thinks that working outside in a supportive environment could improve their physical or mental wellbeing.
Both of these projects are happening on Mondays between 10am and 2pm. The first session is on Monday 15th October.
All equipment is provided. Food is available to purchase on site - you're welcome to bring your own lunch if you prefer. Please wear appropriate clothing for working outside.
Funding is available for transport to and from Queenswood - please contact us for more details.
